July 10, 2005: After a morning at Amarri, proceeded to Cartimar to check out new gear. Met Ms Lim of the Bike Room and discussed personal frustrations re: shopping for bike gear and apparel in Manila. Local shops do not have any websites available, so usual options are:
- to physically go to a store (hard enough because of work hours),
- call (however, with so many unpleasant experiences perhaps due to language limitations... tsk, tsk) or
- canvass and purchase online from the US (hmmm, definitely expensive due to additional taxes, shipping and handling fees).
One never knew that the fateful meeting on this day, gave birth to the idea for putting up this website.
